Our attempt to continue to share Mexican wisdom is here. This beautiful book is a visual preservation of the techniques, designs, and symbols found in traditional textile art from the Amuzgo community in Guerrero, Mexico. With techniques and methods like the backstrap loom, this book is a graphic catalog to images, memories, language, and spiritual practices found in the woven storytelling of Guerrero's indigenous communities. This book is a cosmovision weaving visual texts to contribute and continue the ancestral traditions.
